Vivid Metal Prints
We spent a day with Vivid Metal Prints highlighting the work that goes into producing their handmade products. From pre-press color adjustments to the hand crafting of custom frame sizes, Vivid implements quality at every turn.
The video you see here is one of several produced by AFFIX Studios. The imagery I created for the project was to support the narratives being told as well as to create content for Vivid to use throughout their website and social media accounts.
On Location
As a photographer, I had an especially fun time getting to see the behind the scenes of how Vivid is able to produce such high quality products. Everyone on staff plays a pivotal role in producing a spectacular end result.
Every photo goes through an intense pre-print process to ensure the colors are accurate and dynamic on the final product. Test prints are done and the client gives their approval. Then the prints are created by hand by their talented staff who also create the custom framing to display them.
Product Highlights
Throughout the remainder of the year, we focused on creating content of Vivid Metal Prints in their intended uses. This ranged everywhere from an artist's studio highlighting their work to a family members home showcasing a happy memory.
The unique challenges presented when photographing a highly reflective metal print lead to some creative solutions on set. You'd often find me shooting from precarious positions to combat glare or precisely placing a flag to do the same. In the end we always got what we were looking for!
